  The Company

Overview

RDC as a business was formed in 1996 with the intent to offer Clients specialised Database Administration services. RDC was soon providing such services to multiple Blue Chip Companies, proving that the business model was correct for the South African Market.

Over the past two years, the management has used this solid base to transform the company into a true IT Professional Services company that is committed to service excellence. This transition has seen the company invest in other technologies and also broaden its service offerings to cover other areas in ICT. This transition has also complemented our Database Administration Service to a point where we are considered one of the largest Oracle Database Administration companies in Southern Africa.

The Company is headed up by Makano Mosidi (Managing Director) and two of the founder members of RDC back in 1996 – Rodney Naidoo (Sales Director) and Douglas Clarke (Delivery Director). The company supports broad-based black economic empowerment in South Africa by managing its contribution to the seven pillars – as measured by the independent BEE rating agency Empowerdex. RDC has achieved the highest rating – Level One contributor status from Empowerdex. 90% of the company is owned by management and staff, with the other 10% being owned by our partner Glacier Consulting.

Service Delivery

RDC prides itself on providing unbiased advice to its customers, based on our knowledge of the different technologies. RDC is a company made up of people that are passionate about their technology as well as their service delivery. RDC goes to great lengths to make sure that our people are providing the service to the customers. This commitment and passion has proven invaluable to RDC in the past and is a large contributor to the success of the organization as well as the customers.

The first customer of RDC back in 1996, Nedbank, is still one of RDC largest customers today. Interestingly, the first employee other than the founder members of RDC back in 1996 is still an active member of the business today. We have a proud history of sustainability with our customers and staff which we endeavour to uphold.

The company has strengthened its commitment to service excellence and good corporate governance by certifying itself ISO 9001 compliant with the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).
